Now available once again, legendary jazz pianist Chick Corea's 1984 album Children's Songs returns to the Yamaha Disklavier in celebration of its 40th anniversary!  Originally released in 1984, Children's Songs features 20 short, vignette-like pieces that blend classical and jazz influences, each characterized by a relatively simple melody that develops rhythmic, harmonic, and polyphonic complexity as they progress, simultaneously conveying Chick's virtuosic command of the piano and innovative musical ideation.  One of two PianoSoft albums specially recorded and produced by Chick Corea himself at Yamaha's Disklavier studio (alongside Chick Corea Classics), this PianoSoft Solo edition of Children's Songs fully realizes Chick's introspective approach to composition, evoking a contemplative, impressionistic atmosphere inflected within these unique pieces, celebrating Chick's immortal musical spirit to this day.
