We know you'll enjoy playing along with our collection of "You Are The Artist" songs, which feature printable sheet music and customized backing tracks for your keyboard.
If you have purchased a You Are The Artist song, then read through the following steps to set up the backing track. 

1. DOWNLOAD

    After purchase, go to your "My Library" page and download both the Sheet Music and the backing track (technically called a "MIDI File") to your computer.

2. UNZIP

    On your computer, unzip the folder containing the backing track. After unzipping, You will notice that there are two versions of the backing track available. For better compatibility, we offer one version for keyboards with an XG sound library, and another version for keyboards with an XG Lite ("XGLT") sound library. 

3. CHOOSE YOUR VERSION

Determine which version is compatible for your instrument. You can check your owner's manual, or refer to this general list of keyboard series.

4. LOAD INTO KEYBOARD

Load the appropriate backing track into your keyboard using the following options:

For Instruments with USB "To Device" (thumb drive) ports:

Copy the file from your computer onto a USB drive, then insert the drive into your keyboard. Refer to your owner's manual for help in playing the backing track from the USB drive.

For Instruments with USB "To Host" ports 

Using a USB cable with a "Type B" connection, transfer the backing track file directly from the computer to the keyboard. Reference your keyboard manual for specific requirements and instructions for your model. NOTE: Some models may require the "MusicSoft Downloader" software application, available only for Windows.
